Joe Zeff will be on stage at a Society of Publication Designers event next week in New York City to help designers better understand Adobe's new Creative Cloud offering.
Adobe Worldwide Design Evangelist Terry White will present an overview of Creative Cloud, which replaces the company's Creative Suite and requires customers to pay a monthly subscription fee to use applications like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
More than 500,000 people have already signed up for Creative Cloud, and Adobe expects more than 1.2 million subscribers by the end of the year. As part of their fee, subscribers gain access to new collaboration tools, unlimited Digital Publishing Suite Single Edition apps, and more than a thousand fonts for the web and desktop.
Joe Zeff Design is already using Edge Animate CC, part of the new Creative Cloud, to create interactive HTML5 content for DPS apps such as Fast Company and Kids Discover. Joe will showcase examples that demonstrate how his team uses Edge to produce HTML animations without writing code, and take questions from the audience.
The event, which is sponsored by Adobe, is scheduled for June 5 at the Helen Mills Theater, 137-139 W. 26th St., at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free for SPD members and $10 for non-members, but seating is limited and registration is required. Register here.
